Natural Earth Paint face/body paint complies with US cosmetic regulations. We use all FDA approved ingredients, cosmetic grade pigments and the paints have been third party lab tested for all heavy metals, bacteria and toxins.
Natural Face Paint contains distilled water, natural clay & mineral pigments, organic castor seed oil, Certified Organic beeswax, Certified Organic Shea Nilotica (Fair-trade Shea butter), glycerin (from coconut oil), cetearyl alcohol (from natural vegetable oils), carrageenan seaweed, olive-mulse (olive-based emulsifier), and 1% Optiphen (a formaldehyde-free and paraben-free preservative).
Free of nanoparticles, heavy metals, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, and petroleum-based dyes.
These paints are formulated to be eco-friendly, mineral-based and lower-toxicity, making them a thoughtful option for body-painting experiences.
Because the vulva includes both external skin and more delicate inner tissue, we encourage informed, gentle application that honours your body’s sensitivity.
Where It’s Safest to Use:
These regions are well suited to this paint and typically tolerate topical application:
- Hips
- Thighs
- Belly
- Buttocks
- Mons pubis (the mound above the vulva)
- Outer labia (labia majora)
Use these areas to explore color, texture, gesture, and creativity.
Inner Vulvar Tissue (Labia Minora + Clitoral Hood)
The inner vulva and clitoral hood are more sensitive, more absorbent, and more vulnerable than external skin.
While Natural Earth Paint is low-toxicity and non-classified for hazard in typical art use (for example its Safety Data Sheet notes it is “not classified as dangerous” and lists no skin-contact hazards) the product has not been specifically tested for intimate mucosal use.
Here’s the balanced guidance:
- Occasional, brief contact during your print session is unlikely to cause harm for most people.
- The key is gentleness, minimal layering, and short contact time.
- If you are prone to vulvar sensitivity, yeast/bacterial imbalance, or irritation, you may prefer to keep paint to the outer labia and surrounding skin, avoiding the inner lips or clitoral hood.
If you choose to apply to inner vulva/clitoral hood:
- Use a soft touch, minimal pressure
- Use a thin layer of paint rather than thick globes
- Limit contact time — just enough to press, print, rinse
- After printing, rinse gently with warm water, no scrubbing
Avoid Internal or Vaginal Use
This product is formulated for external application; it is not intended for internal vaginal insertion.
Avoid:
- Applying inside the vaginal canal
- Applying on open sores, active irritation, or during an infection
- Applying so that paint or binder remains for extended periods without rinsing
Patch Testing (Highly Recommended)
Before your print:
- Apply a small amount to a less sensitive area like your inner thigh.
- Wait 10-15 minutes, rinse, and then observe for 24 hours.
- If you notice redness, itching, or discomfort, avoid applying the paint to sensitive vulvar tissues and consider external-only use.
Aftercare & Rinse Ritual
- After your print, rinse gently with warm water; avoid harsh soaps or scrubbing.
- Pat dry—do not rub vigorously.
- If desired, follow with a soothing, vulva-safe balm or oil.
- Honour your body’s experience—if something felt tender or activated, spend a moment in connection with that sensation rather than ignoring it.
Your body is your temple, your print is your offering, your presence is your art.
